I'm pleased to report that after a 9-0 vote of approval last Thursday by the Assembly Committee on Rules, the full State Assembly today unanimously approved HR 35 (Harkey) designating September 19 - 25, 2010, as National Surgical Technologists Week in California.
At the beginning of the year we were in contact with a Senator that is willing to sponsor an educational bill for California. We have completed the required questionnaire, and have submitted to AST for approval.
The California State Assembly is excited to announce the hiring of lobbyist John Valencia. Mr. Valencia will be speaking at the California State Assembly Annual Conference on October 9, 2010 to explain the current legislative actions in California, and to answer any questions by the membership.
